Terms of service

The service

Trayvar is a software platform for school transport operators and schools. It coordinates the planning and running of daily transport - routes, pickups and drop-offs, live progress, and parent notifications. Trayvar is the software; the operator or school runs the physical transport service. Responsibility for the vehicles, the drivers, and the safety of the children on them rests with the operator or school, not with Trayvar.

These terms are between Carthena Advisory Limited (trading as Trayvar) and the operator or school that holds the account. Using Trayvar means accepting them.

Accounts and acceptable use

An account is created for a named operator or school, with a primary administrator who manages the users under it. Keep account credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Give each user their own login rather than sharing one.

Use Trayvar only for running your own transport operation and only with data you are entitled to hold. Do not attempt to access other tenants' data, probe the platform's security, or use the service to send messages that a recipient has not consented to receive. We may suspend access where use threatens the safety, integrity, or lawful operation of the platform.

Subscriptions and billing

Trayvar is priced per vehicle, billed monthly or annually depending on the plan you choose. Prices are shown on the pricing page. Base billing is in US dollars.

Fees are exclusive of any applicable taxes, which are added where they apply. Subscriptions renew for the term you selected unless cancelled before the renewal date. Non-payment may lead to suspension of access; your data is retained through any suspension so the account can be restored on payment.

Messaging

Trayvar sends WhatsApp notifications to guardians - pickup and drop-off confirmations, arriving-soon alerts, and schedule changes - and emergency alerts to operators. Messages are sent only to guardians who have given consent, and consent can be withdrawn at any time through the operator; an opt-out is honoured.

WhatsApp delivery depends on Meta's platform and on the guardian's own number and settings. Trayvar queues and sends each message, but final delivery is outside our control. You are responsible for the accuracy of the numbers and consent records you enter.

Data protection

How Trayvar collects and processes personal data - for children, guardians, drivers, and users - is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. The operator or school controls the data it enters; Trayvar processes it to run the service on their behalf.

Service availability

We work to keep Trayvar available and reliable, but at this tier the service is provided without an uptime warranty. Availability may be affected by maintenance, third-party providers, or events outside our control. Operational decisions must not depend on Trayvar being reachable at a particular moment; the operator remains responsible for running transport safely whether or not the platform is available.

Limitation of liability

Trayvar is the platform provider, not the transport operator. We are not responsible for the physical transport service, the conduct of drivers, or the safety of children in transit - those are the operator's or school's responsibility. To the extent permitted by law, Trayvar's liability arising from use of the platform is limited to the fees paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Termination

You may end your subscription at any time, effective at the end of the current billing term. We may suspend or end access where these terms are breached, where required by law, or where continued use threatens the platform or its other tenants. On termination, access ends and data is handled in line with the privacy policy and any retention obligations; you may request an export before your account is closed.

Governing law

Trayvar is operated by Carthena Advisory Limited. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
